Park’s research primarily focuses on the roles of science and technology in addressing global challenges of the future society. A core area of Park's study includes sustainable development, digital inclusion, global technology governance and science diplomacy. Throughout his professional career in development cooperation, he has worked with organisations including the World Bank Innovation Labs, United Nations World Intellectual Property Organization, and Korea International Cooperation Agency. He worked in Tanzania, Keyna, India and Indonesia for six years.
As a policy researcher and development practitioner, he works in multidisciplinary environments to bridge the gap between science and policy; local and global; theory and practice.
He received his PhD in information systems and innovation from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He holds a Master's in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School, BS in chemical and biological engineering, and a BA in international relations from Seoul National University.
